Rocky Mountain Natural Meats E. coli outbreakMarler Clark’s E. coli lawyers represented a young boy in a claim against Rocky Mountain Natural Meats, Inc. and G & C Packing Co. for injuries suffered as a result of a severe E. coli O157:H7 infection. The claim was successfully resolved prior to trial.
The young boy was a confirmed case in an outbreak that happened in late spring 2010, and was ultimately linked to ground bison and other bison meat products manufactured by the two Colorado companies. The outbreak caused at least 10 confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7 infection in 5 states—Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, and New York.
After the E. coli outbreak was discovered, Rocky Mountain Natural Meats, Inc. recalled over 66,000 pounds of bison products from many retail stores in 25 states and Puerto Rico.
